COURSE 04 / 04 COMING SOON COMMERCIAL PILOT PREPARATION

Learn to be Paid to Fly.

The Program

The final course in the Accelerated Pilot curriculum. Commercial pilot preparation — the certificate that lets you get paid to fly.

001 The Promise

From instrument-rated to commercially certified.

The Commercial Pilot certificate is the threshold between flying as a pilot and working as a pilot. Paid to Fly prepares you for the single-engine Commercial Pilot certificate — required for any flight where you're being paid in a single-engine aircraft: flight instruction, aerial survey, charter, banner towing, traffic reporting, or any other professional flying conducted single-engine. Multi-engine operations require a separate rating, typically obtained after the commercial certificate is earned.

Learn to be Paid to Fly is built to deliver the deep practice that commercial pilot training uniquely requires: precise maneuvering, complex aircraft systems, performance-critical operations, and the decision-making discipline that distinguishes professional pilots from private pilots who happen to fly a lot.

002 What You'll Learn

Four areas of focus.

The skills and standards that distinguish commercial pilots from private pilots, built through deep practice in VR.

01

Commercial Maneuvers

Chandelles, lazy eights, steep spirals, eights on pylons, and the precision flight skills evaluated on the Commercial Pilot checkride.

02

Complex Single-Engine Operations

Retractable gear, constant-speed propellers, and high-performance single-engine aircraft handling. The aircraft systems and operating procedures that distinguish commercial-level flight from basic Private Pilot operations.

03

Commercial Decision-Making

The elevated standard of judgment expected of pilots who are paid to fly. Weather thresholds, passenger considerations, commercial pressures, and the discipline to say no when conditions warrant.

04

Preparation for the Commercial Checkride

Integration of all commercial-level skills into the specific test standards a designated examiner evaluates during the Commercial Pilot practical test.

003 Coaching

Structured Phase Checks through the Commercial Pilot Readiness Phase Check.

Like the earlier courses in the Accelerated Pilot curriculum, Paid to Fly will offer a Self-Study tier and a Coached tier.

The Coached tier will include Phase Checks at key points in the syllabus and the Commercial Pilot Readiness Phase Check — the course's final evaluation of readiness for Commercial Pilot in-aircraft preparation. The Readiness Phase Check includes a ground review component that qualifies as FAA-loggable ground training under 14 CFR Part 61.

Full coaching structure and pricing will be announced at course launch.

004 Prerequisites

Who this course is for.

Paid to Fly is designed for pilots who already hold both a Private Pilot certificate and an Instrument Rating. The course assumes PPL and IFR aeronautical knowledge and proficiency.

Successful completion of the Accelerated Pilot curriculum — Learn to Fly Solo, Learn to Fly Cross Country, and Learn to Fly In the Clouds — provides the foundational skills in VR. But in-aircraft flight training for Private and Instrument is a prerequisite for meaningful Commercial training, because Commercial maneuvers require the integration of existing skills at a higher standard.

Paid to Fly prepares students for the single-engine Commercial Pilot certificate. Multi-engine operations require a separate Multi-Engine rating, which is not covered in this course and is typically obtained through in-aircraft training after the commercial certificate is earned.

005 Launch Timeline

Coming soon.

Paid to Fly is in early planning. The course completes the Accelerated Pilot curriculum's career arc — taking an aspiring pilot from first-time VR user to commercially certified professional.

Launch timing will be confirmed once Learn to Fly Solo, Cross Country, and In the Clouds are established in the market. Our priority is to deliver each course to a high standard before moving to the next.
